Kentucky to host Richmond, Detroit Mercy, and Morehead State in Rupp Arena “Bubble”

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Bluegrass Showcase, featuring nationally ranked Kentucky and Richmond, along with Detroit Mercy and Morehead State, will open the 2020-21 college basketball season at Rupp Arena.
“With all that we’ve been through the last eight months, we are beyond grateful to return to competition and begin the 2020-21 season,” says Kentucky head coach John Calipari. “We don’t know exactly how this is all going to play out with the virus, but the health and safety of our kids and our staff is going to be at the forefront of everything we do, including this event to start the season at Rupp Arena. We’ve had to do a lot of work to get to this point, but I think I speak for everyone when I say that we can’t wait to get on the court and play in some games.”
Games will begin on Opening Day of the 2020-21 college basketball season when Kentucky will meet Morehead State and Richmond will take on Detroit Mercy on November 25. The complete schedule is as follows:
