2K EMPIRE CLASSIC TIPS OFF ON SATURDAY

PRINCETON, N.J. – Georgetown and Central Arkansas will tip off the 25th annual 2K Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project on Saturday in the Washington Regional Round at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
In all, eight Regional Round games will be played, two each at Georgetown, No. 4 Duke, Texas, and California, between Saturday and Nov. 18.
The 2K Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project (@EmpireClassicBB) is highlighted by Duke meeting Cal and Georgetown taking on Texas in the semifinals of the Championship Rounds presented by Continental Tire at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, Nov. 21. The consolation game and championship game will be played the following night.
This will mark the 22nd year that The World’s Most Famous Arena will host the 2K Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project. Tickets for the Championship Rounds can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com. All four games of the Championship Rounds will air on ESPN networks.
Joining Duke, Georgetown, Texas, Cal, and Central Arkansas in the 2K Empire Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project are California Baptist, Georgia State, and Prairie View A&M. These three, along with Central Arkansas, will play two road games and meet in the Subregional Rounds at CBU on Nov. 22-23. In the Subregional Round semifinals, Georgia State will play Prairie View A&M while the host Lancers will take on Central Arkansas.
