Kentucky to host Richmond, Detroit Mercy, and Morehead State in Rupp Arena “Bubble”<\/h4>\n

November 6, 2020 \u2013 <\/em><\/p>\n

PRINCETON, N.J.<\/strong> –\u00a0The Bluegrass Showcase, featuring nationally ranked Kentucky and Richmond, along with Detroit Mercy and Morehead State, will open the 2020-21 college basketball season at Rupp Arena.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith all that we\u2019ve been through the last eight months, we are beyond grateful to return to competition and begin the 2020-21 season,” says Kentucky head coach John Calipari. “We don\u2019t know exactly how this is all going to play out with the virus, but the health and safety of our kids and our staff is going to be at the forefront of everything we do, including this event to start the season at Rupp Arena. We\u2019ve had to do a lot of work to get to this point, but I think I speak for everyone when I say that we can\u2019t wait to get on the court and play in some games.\u201d<\/p>\n

Games will begin on Opening Day of the 2020-21 college basketball season when Kentucky will meet Morehead State and Richmond will take on Detroit Mercy on November 25. The complete schedule is as follows:<\/p>\n

Morehead State vs. Kentucky – 6:00 p.m. (ET) SEC Network
\nDetroit Mercy vs. Richmond – 9:00 p.m. (ET)<\/p>\n

Detroit Mercy vs. Kentucky – 6:00\u00a0 p.m. (ET) SEC Network
\nMorehead State vs. Richmond – 9:00 p.m. (ET)<\/p>\n

—– Sunday, November 29 —–<\/p>\n

\u00a0Richmond vs. Kentucky – 1:00 p.m. (ET) ESPN
\nDetroit Mercy vs. Morehead State – 4:00 p.m. (ET)<\/p>\n
