17GOTHAM_TeamsA 54-point bench performance propelled Siena to an 87-68 win at Bryant in the Houzz Gotham Classic presented by TicketIQ.

Four Saints – including three reserves – scored in double figures in a balanced team effort.

Siena shot 52% from the field and made 12 threes to tie for the program’s most in nearly 12 years since connecting for 13 in a win vs. Canisius on Jan. 22, 2006. The Saints also cleaned the glass to the tune of a 42-21 advantage, which aided a 20-5 margin in second chance points.

Roman Penn (pictured) and Nico Clareth paced Siena with 19 points apiece. Penn pulled down nine rebounds while Clareth accounted for seven boards. Jordan Horn netted 12 points and Khalil Richard tallied 10 points.

Bryant received 19 points from Sabastian Townes, 17 from Bosko Kostur and 13 points and six rebounds from Ikenna Ndugba.

The Gotham Classic concludes on Wednesday when Louisville hosts Albany on ESPNU and Memphis is home to Siena on ESPN3.
