Morehead State takes down Duquesne

MOREHEAD, Ky. – Brent Arrington scored 17 points to lead Morehead State to an 82-72 win over Duquesne.

The Eagles led for the majority of the game, including at halftime when Arrington’s midcourt bomb at the buzzer put them up 43-36. MSU never trailed in the second half and never saw its lead get inside seven points in the final nine minutes of the game.

Xavier Moon tallied 15 points, DeJuan Marrerro had 14 points and eight rebounds, and Corbin Collins added 10 points and six assists as Morehead State improved to 21-12 on the season.

Duquesne (17-17) was paced by Micah Mason and his 24 points and five assists. Derrick Colter netted 16 points.

Morehead State advances to the semifinals of the CBI and will play at Ohio on Wednesday.
