Middle Tennessee to Face UNCW in the Roman CBI Championship Game

DAYTONA BEACH – Trailing 46-39 at the half, Middle Tennessee came out and dominated the second half to emerge with an 85-69 win and advance to the Roman CBI Championship Game against UNCW at the Ocean Center.

Donovan Sims and Eli Lawrence scored 17 points to lead the Blue Raiders. Both had four rebounds with Sims adding five assists. DeAndre Dishman netted 11 points.

The Blue Raiders shot 60 percent (15-of-25) while holding ACU to just four field goals on 21 attempts in the second half. Cameron Steele led the Wildcats with 20 points and eight rebounds.

Middle Tennessee will meet UNCW in the title game. The Seahawks downed Northern Colorado 80-64 earlier in the night. Tip is set for 5:00 pm (ET) at the Ocean Center. The game will air on ESPN2 with Roy Philpott and Joe Lunardi calling the action.
