AUBURN DEFEATS COLGATE

Samir Doughty tallied 20 points in leading No. 19 Auburn to 91-62 win over Colgate in the Roman Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper.

In all, five Tigers scored in double figures. Joining Doughty were J’Von McCormick (pictured) with 14 points to go with eight assists, Austin Wiley (13 points, 10 rebounds), Isaac Okoro (11 points), and Danjel Purifoy (11 points).

Auburn shot 35-of-66 (.530) from the field, while making 10 3-pointers. The Tigers, who led by as many as 45 points (71-26, 15:45 to play), held the Raiders to just 5-of-24 (.208) shooting from behind the arc.

Colgate was paced by the 13-point effort of Jordan Burns. Rapolas Ivanauskas added 12 points.

The Roman Legends Classic presented by Old Trapper gets going again Thursday when Wisconsin hosts Green Bay.
