Richmond and Howard emerged victorious in the Gotham Classic on Tuesday.

In Richmond, the Spiders hit 10 three-pointers and the backcourt of Kendall Anthony and ShawnDre’ Jones combined for 30 points as UR defeated IUPUI, 57-53.

The win was Richmond’s (7-4) fourth victory in a row, tying last season’s longest winning streak. The Spiders swept through the Gotham Classic with wins over Howard, South Alabama, Pepperdine in Madison Square Garden, and IUPUI.

Anthony set a season high with five three-pointers, as he finished with 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Jones added 11 points on three treys, his third double-digit scoring game in the last four contests

IUPUI’s Archie Mason II scored a team-high 12 points with five rebounds. Elijah Ray came off the bench to net 11 points.

IUPUI (3-9) will close out the Gotham Classic on Saturday at Pepperdine. Tip time is 4:00pm (ET).

In Mobile, James Daniel scored 22 points and Howard held South Alabama to just 15-of-49 (.306) shooting from the field en route to a 73-60 road victory. The road win was the first in the Gotham Classic this year.

Howard (7-7) shot 26-of-63 (.413) from the floor in the win. Joining Daniel in double figures was J.C. Carlton with 17 points to go with six rebounds.

South Alabama (2-8) received 17 points from Taishon Johnson, 11 points from Ken Williams, and 10 points and eight rebounds from Dionte Ferguson.

Howard went 2-2 in its four Gotham Classic games. South Alabama was winless.
