Guardians Classic Media Itinerary

Princeton, NJ (November 6, 2001) – Iowa (#8 – ESPN/USA Today), Missouri (#9), Memphis (#13), and Alabama (#26) will host the opening, regional rounds of the inaugural Guardians Classic on November 13th & 14th, 2001. The Championship rounds of the Event will be held on November 20th & 21st at Kemper Arena in Kansas City, MO.

MEDIA ITINERARY:
November 8th, 11:00 AM CST - Opening Round Teleconference:

• Dial-in number: 1-877-329-7569
• Reference: Guardians Classic Teleconference.
• Format: The head coaches from each participating team will be on the call.

11:00 – 11:30 AM Alabama Bracket
11:30 – 12:00 PM Iowa Bracket
12:00 – 12:30 PM Memphis Bracket
12:30 – 1:00 PM Missouri Bracket

November 15th, 9:30 AM CST - Championship Round Teleconference:

• Dial-in number: 1-877-329-7569
• Reference: Guardians Classic Championship Round Teleconference.
• Format: The head coaches of the four championship round participants will be on the call.

November 19th, 5:00 PM CST - Press Conference and Tip-Off Reception at Municipal Auditorium, Kansas City, Missouri:

• 5:30 – 6:30 PM CST Press Conference with Head Coaches – Fireplace Room in Municipal.
• 6:00 – 8:00 PM CST Following the press conference, members of the media are invited to attend the Tip-Off Reception in the Little Theatre at Municipal. All four teams and coaches will be in attendance.

To request media credentials for the Regional Rounds and/or Championship Rounds of the Guardians Classic, please fax your written request, on company letterhead, to Phil Wendler of the Gazelle Group at 609-921-2332 (please indicate which location). Media traveling to the event with one of the participating schools should contact that particular school's Sports Information Director.
