2002 Guardians Classic Championship Round Tickets Now Available

Princeton, NJ (September 6, 2002) – Tickets are now available for the championship rounds of the 2002 Guardians Classic, a college basketball tournament featuring Notre Dame and Creighton. The event will be held November 25-26, 2002 at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster by calling (816) 931-3330 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Notre Dame and Creighton will host the opening rounds of the Guardians Classic on November 17-18. Other school's participating include Alabama State, Belmont, Brown, Furman, IUPUI, and Texas-Arlington. (See bracket for match-ups and dates).

The winner and runner-up from each opening round of four teams will advance to the championship rounds at historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City. Municipal Auditorium has played host to more NCAA Final Fours than any other building. The national collegiate basketball champion has been crowned nine times on the Municipal hardwood, including John Wooden's first UCLA title team in 1964.
