Syracuse Syracuse Orange – Head Coach: Jim Boeheim (Atlantic Coast Conference)

The Orange, who began the season 25-0 and spent three weeks at No. 1 in the polls, ended the year 28-6 in advancing to the third round of the NCAA Tournament...it was the Orange's 37th NCAA Tournament appearance under Hall of Fame head coach Jim Boeheim, who has also guided Syracuse to four Final Fours...the Orange ended the 2013-14 season ranked 14th by the AP and 17th by the coaches...three starters are expected to return next season while nine underclassmen are also expected back, led by junior guard Trevor Cooney (12.1 ppg) and senior forward Rakeem Christmas (5.8 ppg)...the Orange will be looking for their third WWP Classic title (2004, 2009).

Texas Texas Longhorns – Head Coach: Rick Barnes (Big 12 Conference)

Despite fielding a team with no seniors on the roster, the Longhorns went 24-11 and spent five weeks in the national polls, peaking at No. 15...Texas has been to 31 NCAA Tournaments - including advancing to the third round of the 2014 tournament - and three Final Fours...Rick Barnes has led the Longhorns to 15 of those tournaments and is the winningest coach in school history, averaging 24 wins in 16 full seasons in Austin...this year the Longhorns will be paced by senior forward Jonathan Holmes (12.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg) and highly-acclaimed 6-11 freshman Myles Turner...Texas will be playing in its fifth WWP Classic.

California Cal Golden Bears – Head Coach: Cuonzo Martin (Pacific-12 Conference)

Cuonzo Martin, who has won 124 games in six seasons as a head coach and is coming off a Sweet 16 run with Tennessee, inherits a team that compiled a 21-14 record in 2013-14 while advancing to the quarterfinals of the NIT...the Bears have been to 18 NCAA Tournaments...three starters and eight players are expected to return next season, including senior forward David Kravish (11.4 ppg, 7.7 rpg) and sophomore guard Jabari Bird (8.5 ppg)...the Bears will be making their third WWP Classic appearance.

Iowa Iowa Hawkeyes – Head Coach: Fran McCaffery (Big 10 Conference)

The Hawkeyes went 20-13 and were ranked for 15 weeks, reaching a high of No. 10 in 2013-14...Iowa earned its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2006...11 members of the 15-man roster, including three starters, are expected back from a team that posted back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time in eight seasons...senior forward Aaron White (12.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg) and junior guard Mike Gesell (7.8 ppg) headline the returning players...head coach Fran McCaffery is in his fifth season at Iowa...the Hawkeyes have been to 23 NCAA Tournaments, reaching the Final Four three times...this will be the second time Iowa has played in the WWP Classic.

North Dakota State North Dakota State Bison - Head Coach: Dave Richman (Summit League)
Dave Richman inherits a team coming off one of the most successful seasons in Bison history...a year ago, North Dakota State posted a 26-7 record, won the Summit League regular-season and tournament championships, and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament with an upset victory over Oklahoma...NDSU has recorded 50 wins over the past two seasons, making it the most successful two-year span in school history...the Bison return two starters and four additional players from last year's squad, led by the starting backcourt of senior Lawrence Alexander (11.1 ppg, 86 assists) and junior Kory Brown (7.0 ppg, 4.2 rpg).

Alcorn State Alcorn State Braves - Head Coach: Luther Riley (Southwestern Athletic Conference)
In posting 12 victories last season, head coach Luther Riley guided the Braves to their most wins since the 2002-03 season when Alcorn State recorded 14 wins...included in those 12 wins were five wins in their first eight SWAC games...four of five starters, who also rank among the top five scorers from last season, return this year, including forwards LeAntwan Luckett (15.1 ppg) and Octavius Brown (12.6 ppg, 6.7 rpg).

Hampton Hampton Pirates - Head Coach: Edward Joyner (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference)
The Pirates are coming off an 18-13 season which saw them earn a bid to the College Basketball Invitational...head coach Edward Joyner will enter his sixth season at the helm, having registered 82 wins in the previous five years...he will look to build upon last year's success by relying on four returning starters and four of the top five returning scorers from last season, highlighted by junior guards Deron Powers (11.8 ppg, 123 assists) and Brian Darden (10.4 ppg).

Kennesaw State

Kennesaw State Owls - Head Coach: Jimmy Lallathin (Atlantic Sun Conference)
First-year head coach Jimmy Lallathin is in the midst of rebuilding the Owls and will do so with the return of his top four scorers and seven players who started at least 11 games last season, including senior guard Delbert Love (12.6 ppg) and junior forward Orlando Coleman (9.7 ppg, 6.2 rpg)...86 percent of last year’s offense and 83 percent of last year’s rebounding return for Kennesaw State in 2014-15.
