GAINESVILLE, FLA. (AP) -- Jamar Wilson scored 26 points and Brent Wilson added 19 to lead Albany to a 90-73 victory over Oakland in the first round of the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.

The Great Danes hit 56.5 percent of their shots, including 13-of-19 from 3-point range, to advance to the regional final of the tournament. They will face Florida, which beat Saint Peter's 80-51.
Calvin Wooten scored a tournament-record 39 points for Oakland. He was 13-of-20 from the field, including 8-of-12 from 3-point range, and also tied the tournament mark for field goals made (13).
Levi Levine finished with 16 points, six rebounds and seven assists for Albany. Jamar Wilson was 10-of-13 from the field, including 3-for-4 from three-point range.
Shawn Hopes had nine points, 12 rebounds, five blocks and four steals for Oakland. |
