Memphis Tops UConn for 2K Sports College Hoops Classic Title

Tournament MVP Kyle Singler had 15 points and 8 rebounds to help #5 Duke (5-0) get past Michigan, 71-56, to win the championship of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer. Singler collected 28 points and 11 rebounds in the two wins at Madison Square Garden after being named Durham Regional MVP.

Michigan’s Manny Harris led the Wolverines (3-1) with 25 points and broke the record for most points over the entire tournament. Harris collected 96 points in the four games, breaking the mark set by Memphis’ Chris Douglas-Roberts last year (92).

In the 3rd Place Game, #4 UCLA beat Southern Illinois, 77-60, behind 22 points and eight rebounds from Alfred Aboya. more
