Schedule Set for the Championship Series of the
CBI presented by Buick

Championship Series begins on Monday at Santa Clara; all games will air on AXS TV

PRINCETON, N.J. - The sixth annual College Basketball Invitational presented by Buick will open on Monday, April 1 at Santa Clara before heading to George Mason.

Last night, George Mason (21-14) earned its spot in the Championship Series with a 62-52 win at home over Western Michigan. Santa Clara (24-11) advanced to the Championship Series with an 81-69 win at Wright State.

The best-of-three Championship Series will begin on Monday, April 1 at Santa Clara. The series will then shift east as George Mason will host Game 2 on Wednesday, April 3. Should a third game be needed, it will be held at George Mason on Friday, April 5.

All games of the Championship Series will air live on AXS TV.

Previous CBI champions include Pittsburgh (2012), Oregon (2011), VCU (2010), Oregon State (2009), and Tulsa (2008).

Thus far in the 14 games of the CBI presented by Buick, eight have been decided by six points or less, with four having been decided by one point. The average margin of victory in the 2013 CBI is 6.9 points.
