Maryland, Michigan State, Missouri, and UCLA will serve as the four host schools for the O’Reilly Auto Parts CBE Classic. Marquette, Texas Tech Join Duke in Kansas City, Air Force to Play Stanford for Final Spot
Last night the Marquette Golden Eagles and the Texas Tech Red Raiders both advanced out of their respective Regional Rounds of the CBE Classic. Marquette defeated Detroit 87-45 in Milwaukee, and Texas Tech beat UALR 93-59 in Lubbock, Texas. (more)

Duke, Marquette, Stanford and Texas Tech will be the four host schools in the College Basketball Experience (CBE) Classic. Air Force, Akron, UALR, Columbia, Detroit, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Southern, Idaho State, Long Beach State, Maine, UC Davis and San Jose State will join them to complete the field. (more)

Guardians Classic to Become College Basketball Experience (CBE) Classic
The college basketball tournament formerly known as the Guardians Classic will now be called the College Basketball Experience (CBE) Classic. The 16-team tournament tips off November 12th-15th with the Regional Rounds taking place at four Host Sites: Duke (Durham, N.C.), Marquette (Milwaukee, Wisc.), Stanford (Palo Alto, Calif.) and Texas Tech (Lubbock, Texas). 2005 Guardians Classic Media Itinerary and Credential Information

The head coaches from all 16 teams in the Guardians Classic will participate in a national teleconference to preview the event and the upcoming season. The conference will be divided into four segments, with coaches grouped into their respective Regional Round sites. Each segment will open with a short introduction by Gazelle Group President Rick Giles and an NABC representative, followed by brief remarks by all four coaches. (more)

2005 Guardians Classic Tickets on Sale Today

Tickets for the Guardians Classic Morgantown Regional Rounds will go on sale to the general public today at 9:00 a.m. EST. This season-opening college basketball tournament will feature 16 teams competing at four regional sites. West Virginia University will host Fairleigh Dickinson, Louisiana Monroe and Wofford at WVU Coliseum on November 12-13, 2005. Iowa, Kentucky and Texas are the other three host schools. (more)
