The Coaches vs. Cancer ® program created by the American Cancer Society, the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association exists to leverage the strength, community leadership and celebrity of our country’s basketball coaches to raise awareness and in turn, reduce cancer risk through education programs while raising funds for the American Cancer Society.

Founded in 1981, the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) promotes women’s basketball by unifying coaches at all levels to develop a reputable identity for the sport and to foster and promote the development of the game in all aspects as an amateur sport for winners and girls.
