win over Charlotte in Monday's semifinals of the Black Coaches Association
Invitational.
Vukusic's points
included 5 of 7 3-pointers. Mohamed Hachad followed up with 14 points
and 9 rebounds for the Wildcats (2-0).
About two-thirds
of the way through the second half, Charlotte (1-1) came within

and Northwestern made 10 of 12 from the charity stripe down the
stretch.
Charlotte also

led the 49ers with 13 points, followed by Withers with 12. Withers
also had seven rebounds.
In the first
half, Charlotte edged ahead 10-9, but Northwestern answered with
a 12-0 run that included a basket and 3-pointer by Vukusic.

back, however, and Goldwire made two free throws, then a foul-drawing
basket and another free throw to put Charlotte within 26-24.
Northwestern
finished the half by making 4 of 4 free throws -- two each by Hachad
and Vukusic -- to lead 30-25.
