2001 BCA Invitational Opening Night Results

Princeton, NJ (November 14, 2001) – The Gazelle Group is pleased to announce the results of the opening night of the Black Coaches Association (BCA) Invitational.

The 2001-02 college basketball season opened for eight teams earlier today at the Entertainment & Sports Arena, in Raleigh, NC. North Carolina State served as host to East Carolina, Fairleigh Dickinson, Northwestern, Prairie View A & M, Rutgers, San Jose State and Virginia Commonwealth.

Game results are as follows:
Northwestern 78, Virginia Commonwealth 73
East Carolina 79, Rutgers 74
North Carolina State 95, Prairie View A & M 51
San Jose State 65, Fairleigh Dickinson 57

Games on Thursday are as follows:
Rutgers vs. Virginia Commonwealth – 2 PM EST
Fairleigh Dickinson vs. Prairie View A & M
NC State vs. San Jose State
Northwestern vs. East Carolina

The Black Coaches Association is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to foster the growth and development of minorities at all levels of sports, both nationally and internationally.
