Match-Ups Announced for Inaugural BCA Invitational

Princeton, NJ (August 20, 2001) The Gazelle Group is pleased to announce the field and match-ups for the inaugural BCA (Black Coaches Association) Invitational, a preseason men's college basketball tournament. North Carolina State University will serve as the host of the BCA Invitational, to be played in the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Raleigh, NC on November 14-16, 2001.

Also participating in the BCA Invitational are East Carolina, Fairleigh Dickinson, Northwestern, Prairie View A&M, Rutgers, San Jose State and Virginia Commonwealth.

The tournament will consist of two sessions per day, with each session featuring two games, for three days. Each team will play three games. Game times and match-ups for the opening round are as follows:

Wednesday, November 14th, 2001:

Northwestern vs. Virginia Commonwealth
NC State vs. Prairie View A&M
Rutgers vs. East Carolina
San Jose State vs. Fairleigh Dickinson

2:00 PM EST
7:00 PM
4:00 PM
9:00 PM

The tournament will culminate with a third-place game at 6:00 PM EST and a championship game at 8:00 PM on Friday, November 16th.

Television coverage will be announced in the near future.

The Black Coaches Association is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to foster the growth and development of minorities at all levels of sports, both nationally and internationally.
