Coles sets mark at Dell™ BCA Invitational
Percell Coles' tournament record 31 points lead Cleveland State to 78-71 win

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Percell Coles nailed seven three-pointers and scored 31 points to set a new tournament single-game scoring record and lift Cleveland State to a 78-71 victory over IPFW during the second day of the Dell™ BCA Invitational.

Coles broke the record of 27 held by Willie Taylor of Virginia Commonwealth from last season. Also scoring in double figures for the Vikings were Pape Badiane with 15 and Jermaine Robinson with 12. Andre’ Williams led all players with 12 rebounds, while Tahric Gosley had three blocked shots in the game.

"I bounced back from Saturday by playing hard,” said Coles who had just two points in the opening round game against Florida Atlantic. “We played solid defense and we knew that we couldn’t hang our heads (after Saturday) -- we just had to come out and play basketball.”

IPFW was led by Ric Wyand with 23 points and six rebounds, while Brad Noll chipped in 13 points and Terry Collins recorded a game-high eight assists.

IPFW will play Florida Atlantic tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. MSTwhile Cleveland State will square off with Colorado State in the 8:00 p.m. MST game.
