COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Haminn Quaintance scored 16 points to lead Kent State to an 81-74 victory over IUPUI on Saturday in a winners bracket semifinal of the BCA Classic at Ohio State's Value City Arena.

The Golden Flashes (2-0) won despite being outrebounded 43-22.
Jordan Mincy added 15 points as a substitute and Mike Scott and Omni Smith had 14 apiece for Kent State, which advances to meet the winner of Loyola of Chicago and No. 7 Ohio State in Sunday's championship game.
David Barlow scored 20 points, Austin Montgomery 17, Fred Kounkorgo 16 and Gary Patterson 13 for the Jaguars (1-1).

Kent State, the defending regular season and tournament champions of the Mid-American Conference, trailed 24-22 after Barlow hit two free throws midway through the first half. Mincy's 3-pointer gave the Golden Flashes the lead and they built it to 35-28 by halftime. They never trailed in the second half.
The Jaguars owned the boards but also had 26 turnovers and made 40 percent of their field-goal attempts while Kent State had 16 turnovers and shot 50 percent from the field. p.m.
