Irvine defeats San Diego at Dell™ BCA Classic CINCINNATI - Jeff Gloger scored a game-high 17 points, including four free throws down the stretch, to lift UC Irvine to a 65-60 victory over San Diego on Sunday in a consolation game of the Black Coaches Association Classic. Gloger hit two foul shots with 18 seconds to give UC Irvine (1-1) a 63-60 lead. He made two more free throws with one second left. Gloger also led his team with four assists and nine rebounds. Adam Parada added 14 points and four rebounds. Brice Vounang had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead San Diego (0-2), and Brett Melton added 13 points, while shooting 3-of-5 from 3-point range. |
